We survived this latest round from Old Man Winter (which was worse than the last) and are already looking towards the next round slated for Monday into Tuesday (groan). I love snow more than most people you know But when most of what falls out of 16"s is Ice, loving it I'm not so much. During the 30 or so hours it precipitated, I lost track of how many times it switched to sleet with a few heavy down pours of rain for good measure. What a Mess! Icicles started hanging off tree branches & power lines by early afternoon yesterday. Very thankfully we didn't lose power! (Others in the immediate area did). We did brownout several times starting around dinner time. What looked like snow this morning was ice in more places than not, like our entire back yard! We're exhausted from headcold's and snow removal. But in all honesty, it could have been worse & we're doing alright all considered. We're born & raised NJeans - this is the stuff of "infamous Jersey Winter's" only we haven't had a Winter like This in roughly more than a decade so we're a little rusty is all. Of course I've got pictures coming! (And yes, I took too many as usual lol!) Just too tired to go through them tonight even though I've already downloaded them. I hope for those of you also dealing with this latest round of nasty weather that you've come through fairly unscathed & be safe! I'm off to try and finish reading Julie & Julia while watching Pretty In Pink (on cable), hoping to fall asleep sooner than later. (When I'm this tired it's a toss-up).
Welcome! I'm so happy to have had so many visitors already! I must apologize for not being ready for you earlier! I also apologize for the wacky font sizes throughout my post. No matter how hard I try, I can't correct them. If music doesn't begin playing shortly after your arrival, scroll down until you see a purple music widget begin to load in the left hand column and wait until you hear the music before scrolling back up here. Happy Halloween Fete 2009! Love and Spookiness to All! ~Jo (Continue scrolling down until the end of the post) Outside, it's a gloomy & cold day here on the NJ coast. Many a restless Spirit wander here on days like this. One can never be too sure if the fog & mist are just as they seem. Inside, it is warm yet equally frightful! Creepy crawlies have gotten into the food & drink, I so hope you don't mind! What with all of the party hopping we're doing, I didn't want you to bust a gut, so I've laid out some Pumpkin Cook...
