Something Super Cute To Share With You

I just took this photo a few moments ago, along side of the building where my husband works. Those baby geese are too cute for words!!! Happy Saturday! Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®

Sprucing Up

Two cans of Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Ultra Cover in Satin 'leafy green', some new plant additions, extending the side out 3"s and re-arranging later, our front porch is looking clean, bright & colorful again. I lucked into a stack of large 'landscaper' containers over the winter (free!!!) which were a dingy black color - one coating of the spray paint later and they look fabulous! My new additions? Glad you asked! Last week I picked up 2 'Strawberries & Cream' Hydrangea's and a 'Ballerina' African Daisy. Yesterday on a quick run to the supermarket for some last minute Easter dinner necessities, I picked up a 'Crimson' Hardy Azalea. I brought the Peonies from 'round back as well as the Bee Balm. I removed two dead Butterfly Bushes :-( and moved the white Butterfly Bush & Autumn Joy Sedum to the side of the porch. I left the 'Harlequin' Butterfly Bush seedling where it was in hopes that it will get e

Happy Easter!

Saturday Snapshot

If 'April showers bring May flowers,' we'll run-eth over with flowers this May from all of our flooding rain this month. If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring? Pilgrims! :-) (Courtesy of Hubbs). Enjoy your day, no matter the weather! Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®

Another Day In The Life

I'm debating on stopping All arthritis medications until I am given the 'all clear' to resume my iv treatments. My body is having a par-tay with side affects since going back on oral medications as of the beginning of this year and I've about had it. I was always in that 1 or 2% of folks who experienced the rare side affects or allergic reactions to medications, but now, for some reason, I'm experiencing the more common, and even severe, side affects on a regular basis. Dizziness, vision problems (extreme blurriness and blind spots), histamine reactions, loss of equilibrium, drops in blood pressure, kidney function and thyroid function, headaches, ringing in my ears, increased fatigue and 'brain fog,' are just several of the things I've been dealing with throughout. It's scary , defeating, overwhelming, maddening & debilitating. And even those words aren't adequate enough. It also makes me wonder if now I'll react negatively to the i

Garden Blogger's Bloom Day!

I didn't have a chance to post this yesterday because I wanted to be sure to post the butterfly in the cherry blossom photo's. (Click here for yesterday's "Friday Favorites" post to see them - I don't often toot my own horn about things but these photo's are incredible!) Aside from lots of green foliage, I don't have much blooming yet here on the Jersey coast as you can see above (and nothing yet in my northern Skylands Region garden), but I managed to get a few shots this week. Everything that's not blooming is coming back nicely. My Bleeding Heart just took a direct hit though from a wind blown branch so the first pink blooms getting ready to open this week were knocked off but there will be plenty more to come. (We're under a wind advisory and coastal flood warning today; awaiting the arrival of up to 2"s of rain!) A belated happy Garden Blogger's Bloom Day to all of you! I look forward to seeing what's blooming in your gar

Mourning Dove cooing brings comfort & peace amid the morning highway traffic noise Planes fly low, too low it seems, under the clouds, headed for landings on the other side of NY Harbor Gusty winds move storms out to sea Wind chimes dance Flags crack like sheets being snapped on the line The mailbox rattles And here I sit, enjoying my "quiet" morning on the coast Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®
