We brought our new baby, er, heh hum, our new Computer home yesterday afternoon and I am just plain smitten! We stayed with an HP Pavilion and got a great deal on it at Best Buy. It's a lot to get used to and will take me a long time to go through all of my files from the old computer & get them in order, but so far I'm very happy with this purchase. It may also take me a bit to get posting with photo's (more so on New Jersey Through My Eyes than here) but I'm glad to be back up & running on a pc that works this well and is this fast! (Seriously though, I think it has the ability to take over the world as we know it!)
In other news, I had my follow up with my Rheumologist this morning. No MRI's or X-rays of my lower back as of yet, but he's put me on some additional meds and if they haven't controlled or stopped this flare-up by the time I see him again a month from today, we'll go that route. (This way the insurance won't dispute paying for any MRI's or X-rays once I have them. Unfortunate the hoops we have to jump through when it comes to health insurance). He feels this is a lumbar/pinched nerve (from herniated disk) thing so it may or may not be directly related to my arthritis or spinal arthritis. We'll see!
Apparently my liver enzymes were elevated, not enough for concern, but enough for him to take notice of & mention to me. We're not sure what this means but we'll see what my next bloodwork results indicate & go from there. My kidney function is good, which is a relief to me as I've had kidney problems in the past and will likely again at some point. He feels I'm a little dehydrated and have a low-grade sinus infection & fever, so overall I just need to take it easy & keep those fluids coming. (No antibiotics as of now since they do me more harm than good in most cases).
So there y'all have it! I want to thank everyone again for their kind & supportive words throughout this flare-up ordeal! You really have no idea how much it helps me through times like these.
