30 Days of Thanksgiving Day 28

Yes, I know it's day 29. Yesterday was a very long day & not one spent at home. I am so flippin' tired this morning I can barely function. My 69 year old Mom, who was with us all day yesterday, is doing better this morning than I am and that was her first all day outting in Years. Says a lot about me, doesn't it?

Anyhoo, when I can remember my name (and after we return from a trip to Kohl's), I'll post about yesterday. In brief: Sis.in.law has arrived.

What I was thankful for yesterday was getting my Mom out for the day, showing her a little bit of Philly (where she's never been) and having a great day with her (and Hubby and Sis.in.law) and for having the chance to just spend some time in Philly, which we haven't been able to do since March. And for our lunch in Philly. I don't remember the name of the old pizzeria we went to (I know exactly where it is though), but the food was Incredible and cost less for 4 people for lunch than it did for 3 people for breakfast in NJ. (Best meatball Stromboli ever!)

I love Philly.

But y'all know that by now. And thanks to The City of Brotherly Love, I now have an ornament for our tree that says I heart Philly. Gotta love it!

PS:
Christmas arrives in 26 days.
Oh Good Grief.

Hey Jo,
I love Philly too. Where did you go? I might know it!

Keep up your positive spirit. You will get through it.
Thanks Cindy!

Thank you Brenda! I could find that restaurant tomorrow but I have no idea what the name is & I'm not even sure of the street name, lol!!!

An Enchanted Garden Party

Welcome to my post! To visit other participants, please head over to the Practical Magic Blog Party 2010 blog. I must say that while I think Practical Magic the movie is adorable, I think the novel is incredible. And that is where I gleaned my inspiration from for these festivities. Gardens are mysterious, magical and enchanting, don't you think? Now follow me out into the garden, I have everything all ready for you, including music! (Turn your volume on). *Update: Music has reverted to my regular Fall soundtrack, 9/28/2010* For all of you non Practical Magic Blog Party folks, head on over to NJ Through My Eyes where I've posted 2 new slide-shows today; one is a preview of a new project I'm working on!

A Walk Through The (Dis)Enchanted Forrest (Halloween Party Post)

Welcome & thank you for visiting my post! For more Halloween fun today & throughout the weekend, visit A Fanciful Twist . For more Halloween & Autumn Fun, check out my "Autumn Tuesday" & "Halloween Thursday" posts by clicking on their labels in the left hand column. ~Happy Halloween & Pumpkin Blessings! *Update for those friends wondering, I put this together prior to surgery yesterday to make sure I would be able to post it for today! (Though it didn't post at 12:01am like it was supposed to). Anyhoo, I'm home and resting (uncomfortably). Surgery went well, my kidney tube and stone are gone! I have an internal stent on the left hand side but I'm okay with that because it comes out in the doctor's office in 2-3 weeks (no back to the hospital) and especially because it meant they could take that nephrostomy tube out! (The last nearly 2 weeks of that 15 weeks was rough with that thing, my body was simultaneously trying to heal aroun...

2nd Annual Practical Magic Blog Party 2011 is Here! *Updated*

It's time for the 2nd Annual Practical Magic Blog Party created & hosted by the wonderful Anna of Frosted Petunias ! My sincerest apologies for getting this up rather late! The adventure that is post Hurricane Irene cleanup & repairs has been taking up too much time recently. (sigh) Things are a mess; I only started decorating for Autumn yesterday and I'm missing Halloween decorations! Luckily my broom is always safe and sound by the front door so at least I don't have to wonder where it is. (Not that it hasn't been known to scamper off now and again - naughty broom). I was afraid, quite honestly, that I wouldn't even get a post up sometime today! I kept hitting dead ends with every other one I tried. But, this morning I sat here at the computer and it flowed. Thankfully! I would have been so disappointed if I'd missed this, it was such fun last year! As some may remember from last years party, while I like the movie, (and love that house!), I love the...
