Sorry you have to go through all of this! Everything will all work out; I know it doesn't seem like it right now but it will! You have a very big heart to consider having her live with you. That is a big responsibility to take on. Surely there will be someplace that you can find for her, like an assisted living place or something. Keep your chin up! I am sending good thoughts your way!
Oh, please hang in there! The whole thing sounds so unbearably frustrating!
Cindy, thank you! We are looking into assisted living places that have handicapped and disabled amenities. Of course waiting lists are involved. Until then she will have to live with us and my sil C.

Thank you SMS! Much appreciated. It is Incredibly frustrating.

Wow. What a rubbish lot of in-laws you have (IMO). The kick is that those who have treated this sister so bad will one day need someone to help them, and if the way they have treated B is any example..they will be want for alot of support. In the mean-time, I would look for an elderly/disabled support network in your area. In Arkansas, we had the Area Agency on Aging that provided lots of resources. Perhaps you have something like that where you are.

Much luck to you and your family. You are taking on a tough assignment, but hopefully things will go as good as can be expected.
Thank you Pixie! Much appreciated. We do have "Offices on Aging" here and Hubby's made a few calls and has rec'd at least 1 call back who gave him more leads so to speak. And yes, 1 day my in-laws will be at this point in their lives and with the example they are giving my nieces & nephews, they will get their comeuppances one way or another in the coming years. (I fully believe in 'what goes around comes around' karma for the selfish and inconsiderate).

Happy Halloween Fete 2009! Love and Spookiness to All! ~Jo (Continue scrolling down until the end of the post) Outside, it's a gloomy & cold day here on the NJ coast. Many a restless Spirit wander here on days like this. One can never be too sure if the fog & mist are just as they seem. Inside, it is warm yet equally frightful! Creepy crawlies have gotten into the food & drink, I so hope you don't mind! What with all of the party hopping we're doing, I didn't want you to bust a gut, so I've laid out some Pumpkin Cook

(Though it didn't post at 12:01am like it was supposed to). Anyhoo, I'm home and resting (uncomfortably). Surgery went well, my kidney tube and stone are gone! I have an internal stent on the left hand side but I'm okay with that because it comes out in the doctor's office in 2-3 weeks (no back to the hospital) and especially because it meant they could take that nephrostomy tube out! (The last nearly 2 weeks of that 15 weeks was rough with that thing, my body was simultaneously trying to heal aroun
